
The Michigan Water Polo (MWPA) notched 13 NISCA All-Americans for the 2022 season between boys and girls water polo, upping their total from last season by three.
For the girls, Ann Arbor Huron's Emma Kaipainen was named 2nd Team All-America, with Hudsonville's Taylor Wilson (5th Team), Rockford's Josie Geers (6th team), Ann Arbor Skyline's Allie Deininger (HM), Grand Blanc's Sarah Hartwell (HM), and Hudsonville's Elsie Roberts (HM) joining her.
On the boys side, Hudsonville's Micah Bayle was named first team All-America. Joining Him are Ann Arbor Pioneer's Gabriel Sanchez Burks (3rd team), Hudsonville's Ethan Holwerda and Ann Arbor Skyline's Jack Staunton (5th team), Ann Arbor Pioneer's Mathieu Ruelle (6th team), and Ann Arbor Skyline's Ben Deininger and Rockford's Christian Wagen (HM).
"The MWPA would like to congratulate our 13 All-Americans, five of which are set to return next season. It sets up a thrilling upcoming campaign in the MWPA."
