Raheem Brown
Raheem Brown joined the MWPA Executive Board in July 2025 and has served as the Head Coach for East Grand Rapids Boys Water Polo since 2020. He also leads GR Elite Water Polo Club, where he is focused on athlete development and expanding access to the sport across West Michigan.

A former 3× All-American at Monmouth College (1× First Team Club, 2× Varsity) and CWPA Club Sportsman of the Year Runner-Up (All Divisions), Raheem was a National Champion and earned honors including Rookie of the Year, Player of the Year, and National Team Nominee. He was later named MWPA Coach of the Year at East Grand Rapids.

Raheem brings national and international experience as both a coach and official. He has been selected to referee at USA Water Polo Junior Olympics four times, including multiple Gold Medal games, and has officiated the CWPA DI Club National Championship (semifinal and Final Four), USAWP ODP Regional Championships (Dallas, TX), MWPA State Championships, and the USA Water Polo Kap7 International Championship.

He has also participated in the USAWP ODP National Holiday Camp at the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Training Center as both a coach and referee, and traveled to Croatia for the Kap7 International Camp. In addition, he has led teams to compete at the USA Water Polo Junior Olympics.

Raheem is committed to growing water polo across Michigan by developing athletes, supporting coaches, and expanding opportunities for programs statewide.
