I began playing water polo as a freshman at Western Michigan University. I originally joined the club swim team for fun, but my teammates encouraged me to give water polo a try. That decision turned out to be one of the best I made during college, and the sport has since become one of my greatest passions.
I began coaching at East Grand Rapids in 2013, where I developed the foundation and experience that eventually led me to become the Head Coach of the Forest Hills Women’s Water Polo team. Throughout my coaching journey, I’ve come to appreciate that water polo is about much more than competition. It challenges athletes to become strong, disciplined, resilient, and supportive teammates while building confidence both in and out of the pool.
As a coach, I am committed to helping athletes develop their skills, grow as leaders, and discover a lifelong love for the game in a positive, encouraging environment. As a member of the MWPA Executive Board, my goal is to continue growing the sport of water polo by supporting our athletes, coaches, officials, and clubs. I am dedicated to strengthening water polo communities across Michigan and creating opportunities for the next generation to thrive in our sport.
