Post Season Awards

Updated: Nov 11, 2023

During Post Season we have the opportunity to award student athletes with multiple awards. Learn about the Post Season MWPA Awards here and when they are announced - see this year's recipients!

All Region

This award is based on competition season. Coaches nominate up to 5 athletes for this award. Once all nominations are in, all coaches in the region vote for the top players in the region. Coaches are only able to vote for up to two of their own nominations. Based on votes, athletes receive the First Team Award (1 goalie and 6 field players), Second Team Award (1 goalie and 6 field players), or Honorable Mention. On occasion there is an extra first or second team player and this is due to a tie in votes. There is also a regional MVP for each region, the player with the overall most votes for their region.

First and Second Team All-Region are invited to play in the All Star Game the day after the State Championship. If any First or Second Team members are unavailable, the board will reach out to Honorable Mentions. There is also a coach of the year chosen for each region. All MWPA Athletes are eligible for this award.
