Grand Ledge Names Alum Stahelin New Head Coach

Grand Ledge, Mich. - The Grand Ledge Comets girls Water Polo team has announced the hiring of alum Anah Stahelin.

"I am truly delighted to have the opportunity to coach Grand Ledge Water Polo," Stahelin said. "It is an honor to be a part of such a great team and community. I am proud to be a comet and represent us as a whole."

Stahelin, a 2019 graduate of Grand Ledge, played for the Comets during the most successful era in program history, helping the Comets to back-to-back top four finishes at the State Championship tournament.

Her prep career included three years playing for Spartan Water Polo Club, including a 2017 trip to Junior Olympics. Stahelin played for Grand Ledge for four seasons.

Stahelin was a two-time honoree (Honorable Mention, 2016 - All Area, 2018) for the Comets.

The recent grad of Grand Ledge is taking the helm of a team coming off of back-to-back top-four finishes.

The Comets saw a meteoric rise in the last three years, leaping into the top-two in the statewide rankings after picking up their first ever District Championship in 2018.
