The Michigan Water Polo Association has announced broadcast information for the 2022 Girls State Championships at the University of Michigan's Canham Natatorium.
All 12 games over the two-day set will be live and free via youtube on the MWPA Network. The Broadcast team of Joey Sutherlin and Harrison Watt will split play-by-play duties for the Quarterfinals before converging for the Semi-Finals on Friday. Broadcast of the action for Saturday is to be announced.
The Broadcasters
Joey Sutherlin - Sutherlin is a broadcast veteran on the Michigan High School sports scene in everything from Water Polo to Robotics, Sutherlin does it all. The master of "The Biscuit in the Basket" and current MWPA Vice President, Sutherlin famously called the Okemos-Hudsonville multi-overtime saga Boys State Championship of 2018.
Harrison Watt - Watt currently serves as a Division I men's college hockey broadcaster outside of water polo, a former head coach and an MWPA alum of 2011 at Birmingham Seaholm. He is currently the MWPA's secretary in charge of awards, the website and social media management for the MWPA.
