 President
Jessica Hinderer

Jessica Hinderer brings a wealth of experience and passion to her role as President of the Michigan Water Polo Association. Previously serving as Vice President from 2023-2025, Jessica has been a driving force in advancing water polo throughout the state.

Since 2018, Jessica has served as Head Coach of Chelsea Water Polo, where she has built a program defined by excellence and growth. Under her leadership, the girls team made program history by qualifying for their first state tournament in 2023, finishing 8th. The team has continued to elevate its performance, placing 5th in 2024 and 4th in 2025, establishing Chelsea as a consistent state tournament contender. Jessica also expanded opportunities for young athletes by starting middle school water polo in Chelsea, creating a pipeline for the sport's development in the community.

A proud Chelsea High School alumna (Class of 2012), Jessica's connection to the program runs deep. She continued her water polo career at Grand Valley State University, where she distinguished herself as a standout player. Jessica earned First Team All-Conference honors in both 2016 and 2017, and helped lead GVSU to win the CWPA Midwest Division and finish 6th nationally in both seasons.

Jessica's journey from Chelsea student-athlete to college standout to transformative coach and association leader reflects her enduring commitment to growing water polo in Michigan and creating opportunities for the next generation of athletes
