Grand Blanc, Mich. - The Grand Blanc Bobcats have named Jessica Travis their new men's polo head coach, who will step in for the retired Dan Command who stepped down after over 15 years at the helm.
"I am looking forward to continuing to work with the Grand Blanc team, watching the team continue to grow and to start my first season as head coach," Travis said.
Travis played last at the club level for Western Michigan - and was a four year standout for the Bobcats from 2007-2011.
The Grand Blanc native joined the staff in 2018, working under Command for the last three seasons (no season played in 2020).
For Travis - the Bobcats are coming off of a successful five year run in which they made they State Tournament in 2018 and narrowly lost the State Quarterfinal to Hudsonville (13-11).
This past season, Travis helped guide the Bobcats past Birmingham Seaholm in the District Semi-Final as the 'Cats played in the District Championship game. Grand Blanc's season came to a close in the Regional Quarterfinals against Ann Arbor Skyline in a narrow loss, who ultimately finished fifth at the State Tournament.
