MWPA Board Announces Boys Season Moved To Spring

The Michigan Water Polo Association (MWPA) Board unanimously voted to move the upcoming boys season to the Spring of 2021, to run parallel with the girl's season on July 26, 2020.

The move comes amidst uncertainty for fall sports with the COVID-19 pandemic, though the MWPA Board has stated this move will serve as a trial for a potential permanent move to join the rest of the Midwest Region.

Ohio's coaches also unanimously voted to move their boys season to the Spring on July 27 to complete the Midwest Region's move.

A statewide open forum will be held in the coming weeks to determine formats, scheduling and other logistical changes to be made for the MWPA to run boys and girls season's together in the spring.
